Describe a time when overthinking, worrying, or doubting myself affected the way I handled a situation. What did I learn from the experience?

Prompt response: I don't often get overwhelmed to the point of not being able to think. But when I do it's often because I have too much homework and someone is pressuring me to do it all at once. I often handle those situations by taking a break or using online resources to lighten the load or reset my mind. But when it does affect my mind to the point of thinking differently I shut down and panic so I have to actively work on calming down and it wastes my time so I learned to recognize my doubt before it gets to that point. summary: when it does affect my mind to the point of thinking differently I shut down and panic so I have to actively work on calming down and it wastes my time so I learned to recognize my doubt before it gets to that point. reflection: in class I learned that Emily Dickson is a loser who tries to make people feel bad for her when she has access to many sources of help.

An adventure I would like to go on.

Prompt Response: An adventure I would like to go on is a trip to Japan. I would like to go there because their culture always pulls me in. They’ve built amazing structures, heavily influenced media, and have amazing food based on looks. There is much variety like rural Japan with more traditional buildings and traditions, tall mountains like Mt. Fuji. Then there’s urban Japan with tall buildings, street shops, advanced technology, and media things like anime which I really like. Summary: An adventure I would like to go on is a trip to Japan because they’ve built amazing structures, heavily influenced media, and have amazing food Reflection: Today I watched people present posters based on their origin myths. My favorite was Max’s because it was very detailed and intricate.

What is the most creative thing I have ever made?

Prompt Response:  The most creative thing I have ever made is a cardboard Doom sword. Me and my friends created it at the end of my sophmore year in engineering. It's my best work because I didn't use instructions and it still looked pretty good. It was sturdy, artistic, and entirely cardboard and glue. We also made a matching shield but we lost both of them. Summary:  The most creative thing I have ever made is a cardboard Doom sword. Reflection:  Today I worked on my origin myth poster

2 burning questions

Prompt Response:  One question I have is if God exists then why do people suffer? If he is all-powerful and all-loving then why does hell and evil exist? This is important to me because I believe chrisianity is dumb and sets humanity back from achieving further. Another question I have is why do people treat maki from JJK as a hero and Naoya as the worst person ever? Noaya is a mysogynist which is bad and I'm not defending him but he never physically hurt anyone, just oppressed women, while Maki killed everyone in the tribe Noaya led including the women and children who did nothing. He is a mysogynist and she is a mass-murderer. Its important to me bacause I don't understand why she is praised and loved. Summary: I f God exists then why do people suffer? If he is all-powerful and all-loving then why does hell and evil exist? Why do people treat maki from JJK as a hero and Naoya as the worst person ever? Reflection:  I worked on my poster today and had some fun doing it.

Analyze how i've adapted to the demands of this course over the past week, and evaluate one strength and one challenge I anticipate as we progress, justifying your insights with personal examples.

Prompt Response:  I feel like I haven't really adapted to the course because I didn't have to. So far, this class has been pretty easy and unexpectidly fun due to the assignment where we were allowed to make an origin myth. I may have to adapt if he assigns homework but otherwise I'm fine. One strength I have I anticipate I'll have to have is time management. one challenge will be reading  comprehension Summary:   I feel like I haven't really adapted to the course because I didn't have to. Reflection:  ITs not that hard right now

How did creating my own origin myth help me better understand why cultures use stories to explain the origins of people, places, traditions, or natural events?

Prompt Response:  It helped me untderstand nothing, I had fun writing my story but I still don't understand why they would create their own and follow it religiously. The only reason I would understand they would make stories would be to explain the unknown or for fun. While developing my story, I made the lesson that greed will hurt you and/or others around you. In my story humans paid the price of ultimate greed and they went extinxt. Summary:  greed will hurt you and/or others around you.  Reflection:  I didn't really learn anything today, I had alot of fun writing a story.

A meaningful object or place in my life that carries a story.

Prompt Response:  A meaningful object in my life with a story is a mini portable DVD player. I used it with my brothers to watch movies on a tiny screen during long road trips. Its special because I associate the;at time with my family and those fun trips with that item because they made the more boring moments fun. We would watch kids movies and fall asleep together because we were tired from having fun. Summary: The mini DVD player makes the boring moments fun     Reflection:  I learned that the story about the Navajo is stupid and I learned about new bible allusions

a time I felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

Prompt Respon se:   One time I felt connected to nature was when I used to go camping with my cub scout group. We would go to a place up north called apple tree and camp for 4 days. I felt connected to nature because I was separated from urban areas and technology. We would use a large fire and cook s'mores, perform skits, tell stories, run around, talk, and have fun without the use of modern technlogy. It helped me connect more with others and nature because I was interacting with it directly every second and it felt amazing. Summary: During my trips I connected with nature because I spent time with it and cared for I as I would others. Reflection:    Today I learned that the bible relates to myths (because it is) alot more than I thought and that natives spoke over 500 different languages and lived in 200 different tribes. I also learned the word allusion.

3 goals I want to achieve this year

This year I want to achieve all A’s in my classes because I need a higher GPA to get into my dream college and I didn't get all A’s last year. Another goal I have for this year is to procrastinate less because I have a big procrastination problem that may be the reason I didn't have all A’s last year. The last goal I want to achieve this year is to go to bed at an earlier time because I go to bed later than I should and it affects my school because I'm tired and it's hard to focus but I believe the anti-procrastination goal will help a lot with this.
