Emily struggles with letting go of people throughout her life, and the ending reveals the extreme length she went to in order to keep Homer with her. Why do you think some people have such a difficult time accepting loss or change? Connect Emily’s actions to your own observations or experiences with people struggling to let go.

Prompt Response: I think some people have difficulty accepting change or loss is because they've never experienced it before or they never want to experience it again. Another reason may be because they rely heavily on that person. I don't want to connect myself with ehr because she killed the person she didn't want to leave. It's not all that hard to get over someone leaving if you do it properly

Summary: I think some people have difficulty accepting change or loss is because they've never experienced it before or they never want to experience it again

Reflection: Emily is a bum, entitled, and terrible person.
